The Bonnyville Chamber of Commerce was
formed in 1948. Their first executive meeting was held
on January 31, 1948. The president was Irvin Baril. It
was decided at that meeting that the farmers would pay
one dollar fee to join the Chamber of Commerce, the
businesses would pay five and ten dollars on their size.
The Bonnyville Chamber of Commerce (Board of Trade) was
incorporated in 1960. The Certificate of Formation and
Memorandum Agreement was signed by the Department of the
Secretary of State of Canada Registration Division, in
Ottawa on May 4, 1960.
